Queen Street Park, Crewe, Cheshire
Landscape masterplan for Queen Street Park, Crewe on behalf of ANSA Environmental Services and Cheshire East Borough Council. Proposals were designed to improve the community offer and environmental performance of the park.
Proposed interventions included;

improved entrances & pathways

creation of a joined up circular route around the park

addition of new seating opportunities

tree planting, including infill planting to plug gaps in original avenues

creation of a new concrete skate park

community growing space

a community orchard

creation of wildflower meadows
The project featured a strong element of public consultation, with an initial round of consultation shaping the design brief, and a further round of discussion held on the proposed designs.
The final designs were well received by the local community with 89% of respondents consulted in support of the proposals.
